Mouse Replacement
One basic piece of advice that I’ve heard many times is that switchers should replace the Mac one button mouse with a non-Mac 2 button mouse. I used the Mighty Mouse that came with my iMac for only a day or two before getting a Logitech two-button, cordless mouse and I am glad that I did.
There is a context mouse menu just as in Windows that appears when you click with the second mouse button (right button for right-handed mice and left button for left-handed mice). You can get this menu by Command-clicking with the one button mouse but it is a lot easier and we are used to it with Windows mice.
I did like the track wheel that comes with the Mighty Mouse for scrolling left and right. However my scroll wheel jogs left and right to give the same effect however without the same amount of fine control. However, the track ball was too small and too slow for my liking so it’s a fair tradeoff.
