Nice Touches
There are several things that I really appreciate about the iMac that make me happy that I switched from a PC. These aren’t necessarily big things but just things that add to my enjoyment while using the computer. Here are a couple:
- It’s so quiet. The fans on PCs make them sound like airplanes coming in for a landing. They are very annoying, especially while listened to music or videos. My iMac is so quiet I can barely tell if it is on when the screen saver has blanked out the screen. My iMac is currently in my bedroom and I was making it sleep initially when I went to sleep because I am a light sleeper. But now I just leave it on and it doesn’t bother me at all.
- The icon for the Address Book in the dock shows the current month and date. It’s a real small thing but it means I don’t have to click on anything to see the date (which I do frequently because I never know what the date is).
